Sony Electronics showcased its new segment of machine vision cameras with the XCD line-up, integrating high-bandwidth 1394b interface. The XCD-V60/V60CR is a VGA camera which records superior footage at 640 x 480 pixels resolution. Sony’s high technology enables rendering at the pace of 90 frames per second which is 50 percent more than the standards for the specific CCD sensor. The efficient camera is perfect for application in parts inspection to microscopy and transfers data at 800Mbps due to 1394b interface. For added convenience multiple cameras can be connected in a daisy-chain configuration, ideal for inspection with simplified operation.
