PENTAX Imaging Company removed the curtains from the PENTAX K20D digital SLR camera. The 14.6 Mega-pixel Camera has been fashioned with dust-proof and weather-resistant exterior to make it useable in adverse weather conditions. With a newly developed CMOS image sensor, which employs a large photo diode the camera achieves higher sensitivity levels up to 6400 in the expanded ISO mode.
The K20D includes a 2.7 inch Wide-view LCD screen with 230,000 dots resolution for easier operation and better observation. It’s High-speed PENTAX-original PRIME (Pentax Real IMage Engine) engine bring images to life through realistic color propagation. The innovative PENTAX-developed Shake Reduction mechanism ensures blur-free, crisp image even in low light or back-lit situations.

The PENTAX K20D Digital SLR Camera will be showcased at the PMA 2008 Trade Show from January 31 to February 2 in Las Vegas and is expected to be offered for sale by April at an estimated price of US $1299.95.
