Nikon previewed its Smallest Digital SLR Camera; the gracefully crafted D40X steals the heart of the most prominent in the industry. The camera incorporates Nikon’s 10.2 Mega-pixel DX Format CCD Imaging Sensor to snap vibrant pictures which can be enlarged over 24 x 36 inches for artistic cropping. The 2.5-Inch, 230,000-Dot Color LCD Monitor with 170-Degree Wide-Angle enables easier operating and offers 3 colorful display options to choose from.



The D40X features a fast startup of 0.18 seconds with a jiffy shutter and speedy shooting capability up to 3 frames per second. Additionally it also offers Nikon 3D Color Matrix Metering II to evaluate the perfect brightness, color, contrast etc. for the picture with Accurate 3-Area Autofocus and advanced Image Optimization Options.



Its Built-in Speedlight with i-TTL Automatic Flash Control takes care of low-light areas to provide perfect exposure for a brilliant finish. Other specifications include eight Digital-Vari Program Shooting Modes, In-Camera editing with Red-Eye Correction, Image Trim, Image Overlay, Warm Tone and Color Balance filter effects.
