Sony Electronics previewed its top-notch SX90/SX90CR Machine Vision Camera from the newly announced XCD line-up. The SXGA camera records premium quality video at 1280x960 pixels resolution. Its exceptional high-speed, low-noise sensor enables smoother functioning. The Sony 1/3-type progressive Scan CCD enables streaming at 30 fps.
The SX90/SX90CR camera features the 1394b interface to reach the 800Mbps mark at its bandwidth. Amazingly, 62 cameras can be joined in a Daisy Chain to relish the benefits of a Multi-Camera system. The camera’s Bus Synchronization lets the user shoot multi-angled images from separate modules for precise observation. Its Image Buffer temporarily stores data for efficient use of bandwidth and ease of operation.
