Tamron launched its telephoto zoom lens SP AF 200-500 mm F5-6.3 Di LD IF which brings the far away subjects closer while covering a distance of 500mm for unbelievable photographic experience. When mounted on an APS-C size digital SLR camera, it provides a focal length equivalent to a 760mm for super ultra telephoto imaging. The lens features a magnification ratio of 1:5.0, its detachable filter effect control allows rotating the filter while the hood attached; weighing merely 1237 grams (43.6 oz.) it uses Tamron's 'Di' (Digitally Integrated Design) optical system to meet the performance characteristics of digital SLR cameras. Other specifications include 13 elements in 10 groups in the Optical Construction, 227.0mm (8.9') in length with a diameter of 93.5mm (3.7') and 86mm filter which shows compatibility with Canon AF, Minolta AF-D, and Nikon AF-D cameras.
