Cheap 720p Video Camera from Aiptek: "
Taiwanese Camera maker, Aiptek, has burst onto the scene with its line of video cameras that are light on the wallet. Now, it seems, Aiptek is aiming for the Sanyo Xacti and the Canon TX1 with its latest Aiptek A-HD 720P.
As the name suggests, the camera shoots video at a resolution of 720p and at a frame rate of 30fps. Though the camera only has 6 megabytes of internal storage, you can expand memory through a SD slot. The device only has 4x digital zoom, which would be acceptable given its small form factor, but Canon’s TX1 has 10x optical zoom.
Nonetheless, the device can charge via AC or USB, has a component output, and a 2.4 inch swivel screen. You can also take (subpar) stills with the camera as well.
The biggest selling point is its low price: $169.99.
You can order the A-HD 720P right now from Aiptek.
