Canon HG10 paraded at IFA 2007

Canon has taken the IFA 2007 event to showcase the HG10 camcorder, making it the first AVCHD camcorder to be released from Canon. You don't get any flash memory in there (which will substantially increase the final retail price), but it uses a 40GB hard drive instead. Features include a 2.7' widescreen LCD display at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 10x HD video zoom lens, and the vaunted DIGIC DV II processor to capture crystal clear memories. Would you prefer a hard drive-based camcorder compared to one that uses DVDs instead?
