Don't sweat it, we're not going to quiz you on the specs from Samsung's NV40 -- after all, this puppy was introduced way back in January of the year 2008. Nevertheless, the 10-megapixel shooter has finally arrived at PhotographyBLOG's labs for review, so let's dive right in. Simply put, the NV40 isn't a revolutionary step above the NV20, though that wasn't seen as necessarily bad. It was noted that the image stabilization worked quite well, but captures were still noticeably noisy even at ISO 200. The unit itself felt like a premium product, and the Smart Touch interface was highly praised, but reviewers just couldn't find a way to stomach the £199 ($385) price tag with such disappointing image results. Check out the full review for yourself before passing judgment, but it sounds like Sammy just barely missed the mark with this one.

Panasonic is proud to launch its 10 megapixel compact digital camera LUMIX DMC-FS20. Displaying images on 3’ 230,000 dot polycrystalline TFT LCD, the FS20 clicks picture with 4x zoom. Offering a sleek, straight-forward look the digital camera weighs 5.3 ounces.

Operating in four basic modes Intelligent Auto, Normal Picture, Scene and Motion picture, the camera offers cropping and resizing features. The 2.3cms deep and 9.5cms wide camera can take 280 shots without need for charging the battery again. The Quick F mode reduces the lag to 0.4 seconds.

The 30-120mm 4x Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens features slow f/3.3 and f/5.8 maximum apertures at the ends. Face detection lets it distinguishes adults and kids face and gives a clear crisp picture. Though the price has not been confirmed yet by Panasonic but its features will keep you mesmerized.

Get a load of what just arrived at the doorstep of our European HQ -- the world's smallest 1080i camcorder, Sony's TG3E. Otherwise known as the TG1 in the US, this pup is small and sturdy and definitely looks the part of a Full HD (as it's defined for camcorders) 1080i shooter. Hell, Sony somehow managed to turn that boxy design into something sexy to hold. However, Sanyo's 720p Xacti DMX-HD700 (in red) still trumps the TG3E in size and weight. Unfortunately, it gives up significant lines of resolution in the process and uses inferior materials to boot. We'll be back later with a full review of this pup as soon as we find a nice, tropical island which can pamper this beast in the luxury a $900 camcorder deserves. Sony presented its new UPX-C300 digital still camera cum printer, which recently got a clean chit from FCC for sale in USA. The system allows you to take passport or ID size photos from a digital camera and then print them in full color or black & white at 403 dpi. Utilizing Bluetooth wireless technology the camera communicates with the printer without using cables within a range less than 10 meters.

The printer prints on UPC-X46 and UPC-X34 series of paper through Four-surface sequential sublimation, thermal transfer process, offers Die-cut print and print queue functions. The system’s camera boasts 1/2.5 inch 8M CCD, Built-in 64 MB flash memory and a 3.0-inch cold polysilicone TFT color LCD monitor. The integrated Bluetooth 2.0 enables transfers at up to 723Kbps in the 2.4GHz frequency band.

You can also integrate Optional UP-DX100 Digital Photo Printer, 10UPC-X46 Series Self-laminating Color Printing Pack (250 sheets) or 10UPC-X34 Series Self-laminating Color Printing Pack (300 sheets) as accessories to the Sony UPX-C300 Digital Printing System.
